He enjoys presenting patients with options for their eyewear they have not considered before like high contrast sunglasses for sports and is expert at finding a frame that suits your features and personal style. Outside of work he enjoys going to the cinema and bowling with his friends.

Lee

Lee is a qualified Dispensing Optician and Operational Director of Millicans and Mansfield Opticians. He began his career in 1998 working alongside David Millican. With a strong focus on patient care, Lee also runs specialist Visual Stress clinics, helping to improve reading comfort through the use of coloured filters tailored to each individual’s needs. Aside from his expert advice in lens and frames, his other superpower is maintaining a happy and relaxed team with his sense of humour and constant provision of hot drinks throughout the day. Lee enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly camping trips on the coast with his family.

Sam is Founding Director at Millicans and Mansfield Opticians. Sam began her journey at her dad's practice Millicans Eye Centre in 2013. She qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2017, and after a few more years of study and experience, became a fully qualified Optometrist in 2023. Whether it’s a routine check-up or solving a more complex issue, Sam is passionate about providing the best possible care. Sam has a degree in fashion and along with Lee plays a key role in curating our beautiful range of eyewear. In her free time, she enjoys running and swimming and is the proud mum to her daughter Evelyn.
